September 30, 2009

HOMESTEAD, Fla. - Brothers Ricky and Jordan Taylor will co-drive as a duo for the first time in the Oct. 10 Grand Prix of Miami, when they share Beyer Racing’s No. 13 Brach’s/Dex Imaging Chevrolet Riley at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
The Apopka, Fla., brothers – both students at the University of Central Florida – co-drove with the help of additional drivers to 10th-place finishes in a pair of endurance races this year. They opened the year in the Rolex 24 At Daytona, joined by Jared Beyer and David Martinez. Mike Forest made it a trio in the Sahlen’s Six Hours of Watkins Glen.
Forest and Beyer will co-drive the team’s No. 5 Chevrolet Crawford in Miami.
Ricky, 20, has competed in all 11 Daytona Prototype races this year. He is currently 11th in the point standings, with six top-10 finishes. His best result was a fourth in the Montreal 200, where he lost a podium finish to Alex Gurney on the final lap, and he is coming off an eighth-place finish in the Utah 200 – running with Forest in both races. The elder brother has led races at Daytona and Montreal for a total of 33 laps.
Jordan, 18, has seven starts for Beyer Racing, co-driving with Beyer, with all finishes in the top 15.
